In late 2018, Steve Bannon, formerly a top aide to Donald Trump, was in the UK preparing for a address at the prestigious Oxford Union.

The speech was disrupted by hundreds of protesters, and Bannon, who was due to travel that evening, informed Jeffrey Epstein in an message: "Activists delayed my talk don't think I can catch the plane we are heading to the airport".

Epstein replied: "That. Is a gulf air that leaves at 950 with a layover in Bahrain". Bannon answered: "U r an amazing helper".

These exchanges were published on this week alongside over 20,000 pages from the estate of Epstein, the late financier convicted of sex crimes.

The disclosure by the House oversight committee includes an text conversation where Bannon's identity is withheld. Media outlets has been able to confirm his identity by cross-referencing the timeline, occurrences, and locations referenced.

For instance, Epstein discusses arranging a jet from Scotland for the redacted user in the messages, and commends their "address at Oxford". Bannon took part in the News Xchange conference on November 14, and delivered the speech at the Oxford on November 16.

Bannon, who is not accused of any misconduct, declined to comment on the request for comment.

'I'll make sure you're well looked after'

Bannon was one of Trump's key advisers in the lead-up to the 2016 election and in the early days of his presidency, but stepped down from the administration in August 2017.

He has admitted he was making a film about Epstein prior to his death and reportedly has approximately 15 hours of recordings. In a recording of his show recently, he stated: "We're going to release the series, the five-part series, in the coming year - early next year."

But the recently disclosed materials suggest Bannon's connection with Epstein extended than being his biographer, with the disgraced financier occasionally appearing to serve like a personal assistant.

A few days prior to the exchange in which Epstein seemed to booked a charter jet for Bannon, Epstein remarked: "how does it feel to have the most highly paid booking agent in history ".

Bannon expressed gratitude: "U r pretty good asst", to which Epstein replied "Massages. Not Included".

Discussing a trip to "AD" in another message, Epstein assured Bannon: "I will ensure you are well looked after."

UK Politics Mentioned in Messages

The released communications also show Bannon and Epstein talking about UK politics in 2018.

On the day of his address at the Oxford Union, Bannon messaged Epstein: "I've gotten pulled into the Brexit issue this day with Farage, Johnson and Mogg."

Then, in what appears to be a reference to Theresa May, the struggling UK prime minister at the period, he continued: "They are attempting to proceed. may today / tomorrow…"

Epstein advised Bannon: "In my view staying as much as you can uk. Ideal- so people get the commitment of your follow through."

Soon after, Epstein asked: "Can Theresa may survive". Bannon replied: "I don't see how BUT the people over here have little courage" and added "Johnson ; Gove; Jacob Rees-Mogg; David Davis - somebody has to take charge".

Theresa May was eventually toppled in 2019 after withstanding multiple attempts of lack of support in December 2018.

A representative for Reform UK told media: "Nigel Farage has never been in a meeting with Bannon, Rees-Mogg and Boris Johnson." And there is no evidence that encounter took place.

The US House of Representatives will vote next week on whether the Department of Justice should make public all its records concerning its probe into Epstein, who died in prison in that year.

Interest in Epstein's associations with powerful figures was renewed recently after the release of more than 20,000 pages from his estate.

Some of those referenced Trump, who has consistently rejected any wrongdoing. The president was a acquaintance of Epstein's for a long time, but claims they parted ways in the 2000s, two years prior to Epstein was first arrested.
